You guys are a bunch of jerks. My back is still sore and my jeans are torn. I hope you have to wait 15 minutes for your next sandwich, and the pretzel rolls are stale.

You'll probably need to polish them out. It likely won't happen by hand. You can try wet sanding the area with some 800 grit paper dipped in water. Hit it a few times from several directions. Then step up to a 1200 or 1400 grit and do the same thing. Then get some polish, I prefer Adam's but you'll never find it in a store so it's going to have to be something like Mequires or Mothers. Finally after you've polished it to a shine get some wax over the top of it. However I'm guessing you will need to machine polish to get them completely out.

But it would be best to try the rubbing compound first, right?

There is not harm in trying it. If they are very minor it will do the trick. I just assumed they were fairly significant by his original post but rubbing compound will work on minor things. Just be sure to wax the area after.

I was only kidding about the pretzel rolls.

Most waxes are the same. They won't address the issue as they typically aren't abrasive enough.

Yes definitely, but it becomes a matter of budget. I use Adam's Americana, but at something like 70 bucks a container it's far from cheap. However it's amazing. You can step down a bit to something like Wolfgang or Optimum which is much cheaper and does a pretty good job. The old over the counter staple so to speak is Mequires Gold Class. If I had to buy my wax at a store that's what I'd go with. It's cheap too.
