Hubby and I along w/friends are going to Cincy in July for the weekend series against the Reds. Has anyone done this and can you offer a somewhat reasonable hotel suggestion near GAB. Thanks.

Define "near". There are dozens of hotel options downtown, which is not far from the stadium. However due to the exact location of the park (wedged between an interstate and the river), there aren't really any hotels that are less than a half mile walk away.

I'd recommend staying either in Newport, KY or around Fountain Square. More stuff to do/eat/drink before/after the game there.

Doesn't have to be w/in walking distance. A somewhat short cab ride would do. One of the guys is staying by the airport which is 10 miles away. I don't want to be that far from the ballpark.
