I love how your class isn't as important as some others. You should remember that and adjust your syllabus accordingly.

Good for your Dean in his/her response.

That poor student has a tough road to hoe. I'll bet a case of Bud Light Lime and some landjaeger-flavored Doritos that she ends up on Judge Judy before it's all done.
I thought you hoed rows (or is it rowed hoes?). Hoeing a road will certainly be very difficult, nigh impossible.
Rode whoes?

She's a brilliant satirist. John 6:57 refers to Job being swallowed by the whale, and how he never complained at the obvious injustice of it all. The tip-off was the word punative, which of course refers to Puna's famous theory regarding Job, the whale, and the queen of Sheba.

If 300 different words are required, does that mean that repetitions of prepositions and articles, etc. don't count?

See what happens when we quit keeping score in youth sports? We raise a generation of whiny kids who don't understand that sometimes life isn't fair and you actually have to work hard to achieve something.

I think she meant to say "putative", which would make her Moxie's love child after his late night rendezvous with Liz Rizzo while Roscoe mastered the oboe...
