Pujols didn't make it last season so I doubt his team is much of a factor.

He's been a whopping 1 run worse than the starting 1B.

The starting AL 1B didn't have scores of scathing articles written about him early on in the season. Never mind the fact that Albert's biggest edge on Prince is defense, which I doubt the casual fan pays much attention to in the first place.cpebbles wrote:He's been a whopping 1 run worse than the starting 1B.
On another note, Votto is almost at 5 WAR already.

Quite how statues of living people came to be seen as appropriate honors despite religious proscriptions against graven images isn't clear. But it does make for some awkward dedication ceremonies. "It's not about me, it's about Jesus Christ," Albert Pujols said last November at the unveiling of a 10-foot-tall statue of himself, outside a St. Louis restaurant named for himself, one month before he left St. Louis for Anaheim for a quarter of a billion dollars, at which time his statue was given its own security guard, lest it be toppled like one of Saddam Hussein's.

LOL. Was it HIS money paying for the statue? Unless someone is honoring you with a statue, it's pretty funny to say "It's not about me...".Mary1966 wrote:http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/w ... ?hpt=hp_c2

I always assumed that it was, which was why I was so sure he would stay in St. Louis. Build a statue to yourself right before you leave town. God.

Pujols did/does not own the restaurant where the statue was located. He's not that big of an ass.
