"Game 6: The Greatest Game of All Time!" 3-color screenprint on Canson Edition paper, 28" x 22", edition of 150.
JULY 6, 2012 UPDATE:
I've just finished the 3rd (and likely FINAL) printing of the poster. They're nearly exactly like the first two editions, with the following minor differences:
• This one is an edition of 150 (same type, color and size of paper)
• I fixed a minor typo in the bottom right corner ("to due" changed to "due to")
• I mixed a hair more orange into the yellow ink, making that color a tiny bit warmer
HOW TO PURCHASE:
STL LOCALS: If you're able to drop by my house/studio near the Webster/Crestwood area during weekday business hours (and you promise not to be a psycho killer or Cubs fan), you could check out the prints in person and maybe buy one for $40 cash. Drop me an email -- danzettwoch (at) gmail (dot) com -- to set up a time and get my address.
OUT-OF-TOWNERS: You'd be welcome to paypal me orders at -- danz@usscatastrophe.com -- by sending $48 to that e-mail address (it's a weird one, be sure to spell it right or cut 'n paste). The extra $8 will cover shipping. Prints will come rolled in a sturdy tube, and will be mailed USPS priority mail within a week of ordering.
Thanks again for the interest, everyone! Let's Go You Redbirds!

He still didn't correct the typo of the Busch Stadium reference. He says it's Busch II, but it's actually Busch III...

Audio still available at mlb.com. I always find myself listening to the Rangers broadcast. That Eric Nadel guy really can call a ball game.

Watched Game 6 of the 2002 WS on ESPN classic. FWIW, Buck busted out "we will see you tomorrow night" after that game ended too.

How is that behind the Hawks winning an NBA championship? I can MAYBE see Spinks beating Ali being on there, but even that is a stretch.Vidor wrote:Ranked #3 in all-time St. Louis sporting moments by the P-D

Game 6 is the greatest STL sports moment of my lifetime and I'm sure my generation will always see it that way.

Winning a championship is one thing, but the manner in which the cards did it is just awe inspiring. I don't care who you are or who you root for.

That's insane. I don't even care what you put at #1. How many people in STL are even aware of that basketball moment? I wasn't. I'd put Mike Laga's foul ball out of Busch II ahead of the basketball thing.Tom_Brunansky wrote:How is that behind the Hawks winning an NBA championship? And the Freese HR really does belong at #1, IMO. It was crazy enough that it even happened. But for a guy from STL to do it? How do you NOT put that at #1?
