When I was in town for the Brewers series, I took a stadium tour, and the tour guide said that mowing the Arch in the field takes a toll on the grass, and with the drought, the grass was taking more damage than usual so they stopped it for the time being.

Totally understandable, I can imagine that it's a pain in the butt to mow it into the grass to begin with for the grounds crew.

When you can see the actual arch through the OF stands do you really need grass cut in the same shape as it?

I think I like it better without. I was just thinking last night how nice the grass looked, but failed to realize the Arch was gone.
