We got 8.5" last Sunday and are looking at getting about the same this weekend. followed by single digit temps next week. That mild November is firmly in the rear-view mirror.

What you're getting is what we had midweek, although probably With more snow. We only got 3-4" and had temps around zero for a couple of days.

Ice coming tomorrow. Not much I guess but the road treatment still means I have to put my fun cars away. Oh well it was a good run, made it deep into December this year.

Also, an old co-worker back in New York was working nights over the weekend. He came out to his car Sunday morning and had 2.5' of snow come down. He was pissed because he drove his nice Audi (granted, it still has AWD so it was fine) since the weatherman said it would be a nice night with no precipitation. He owns about 4 different big ass redneck 4x4 SUVs/pickups (one of which is a late-80s Bronco he nicknamed the "Hillbilly Deluxe" that is jacked up with 44" super swamper tires on it).

They were all tucked away safe and sound in his warm garage while he Audi was buried in snow past the grill.

Revised forecast for St. Paul on Saturday. New low is -25 (before the wind chill) with a foot of snow predicted.

My daughter was up that way last weekend visiting my niece. I was expecting a a lot of betching about how cold it was. But not a word about the cold - She enjoyed it a lot. The power of alcohol.

Yeah, I love winter. But -25 is too cold even for me.

Honestly, I much prefer the winters in upstate New York where we average 250 inches of snow a year. Being right on Lake Ontario helps keep everything a little bit warmer, so it rarely drops below 15-20 degrees. But at the same point, being right on Lake Ontario means you get [expletive] dumped on with snow literally every single day.

Damnit, I miss plowing snow in my tractor.
