So clearly trying to knock some time off his sentence in exchange for information, then.

If an Astros employee accessed the Cardinals database in December 2011, that was likely Lunhow as he had just been hired by the 'Stros in the same month. Which makes the Cardinals look dumb for not disabling his account or changing his password.

Is there a reason they'd have refused him the right to use evidence in his defence, or is it just boolsheet?

But prosecutors have to decide they want to go after whoever it is he claimed to have info on. Or they checked out his evidence and found it lacking.MrCrowesGarden wrote:So clearly trying to knock some time off his sentence in exchange for information, then.

Well sure. Can't imagine if he really has what he says why they wouldn't want it, or why he wouldn't share it. So, it's probably that he has nothing.lukethedrifter wrote:But prosecutors have to decide they want to go after whoever it is he claimed to have info on. They wouldn't want illegally obtained evidence. But they didn't investigate anyway.

MLB conducted their own investigation. The FBI investigated. I believe the Cardinals had their own internal investigation. And, the federal government (successfully) prosecuted him.
That doesn't mean the Astros didn't do what Correa says, but there's no proof of it anywhere so it comes down to believing what Correa says (and thinking everyone else saw it but nary said a word) or believing it doesn't exist.
