Not the most epic....but somewhat similar late. Tie it in the 9th, tie it in the 10th, walk off homer in the 11th.CardsofSTL wrote:If the Cardinals win this game it will be the most epic comeback since 2011

I might have been overstating due to exhaustion.dmarx114 wrote:Not the most epic....but somewhat similar late. Tie it in the 9th, tie it in the 10th, walk off homer in the 11th.CardsofSTL wrote:If the Cardinals win this game it will be the most epic comeback since 2011

I'm glad they won. They needed it. But this was one of those wins where so many bad things happened I'm still kinda pissed afterwards.jkline wrote:Wow, best game so far this year, good win.

Matheny gets credit for going to Hicks in the 7th.
I really don't understand the decision to bunt Garcia in the 9th, but it worked out.
I assume Lyons was unavailable in the 11th with 2 lefties. Leone against lefties had me nervous, but that worked out.
We are seeing why an 8 man bullpen has benefits. If Hicks and Norris are unavailable today, we still have plenty of options. The Brewers ran out of options yesterday with their 7 man bullpen since Hader and Albers were unavailable, and Jeffress was on a pitch count.

I'm more concerned with the lack of offense than anything right now. De Jong should be far from the #2 spot but I don't know who you put there instead.

Weird, even though I watched to the end last night, I woke up with that "damn the Cardinals lost last night" feeling. Then remembered-oh yea -they won.
Maybe it is what they needed....Play like [expletive] and have Brewers all but gift them a win

http://www.tsunamiwavesfoundation.org/s ... r-camille/St. Louis doctors found 17-year- old Camille Fernandez on a November medical mission to the Dominican Republic. The trip was sponsored in part by the Tsunami Waves Foundation, founded by Cardinals pitcher Carlos Martinez.
Fernandez was brought to St. Louis last December for chemotherapy, then a bone marrow transplant. Now she’ll pitch for the Cardinals on the same night Martinez gets the start against the Brewers.
This is a good bump.
