Re: Tyler O'Neill mashing in AAA
If JMart or someone else gets moved then O'Neill comes up...you might get to see him in a day or so.
Otherwise probably best to let him play every day and have a shot at making the roster next Spring.

I get that. I think rotating him with Fowler and Ozuna and even playing some in center makes the most sense.CardsofSTL wrote:If JMart or someone else gets moved then O'Neill comes up...you might get to see him in a day or so.

He could still get 150-200 ABs with the big club this year.

Re: The Tyler O'Neill Thread
Tyler O'Neill is already amazing and should stay that way.
Here's a glimpse of what he might become:
ISO in AAA (both seasons): .298
ISO in 2018 AAA: .400 !!!!!!
Top 5 ISO in baseball:
Jose Ramirez .331
JD Martinez: .316
Mike Trout: .315
Mookie Betts: .309
He will have better power than Arenado, Lindor, Judge, Harper, and Baez if he keeps the current rate going in the majors. Wow!
Khris Davis's ISO is .287 and I believe he's the best comp (hitting only) at the moment for O'Neill too with a 0.33 K/BB where O'Neill's in AAA (2 seasons) was 0.44
Already at 0.9 bWAR and 0.4 fWAR in limited play.

I agree.go birds wrote:maybe he should start everyday then
Fowler and Bader alternate. O'Neill in CF when Fowler plays, RF when Bader plays.

I am glad you are excited about him. Maybe you'll tip the cap to the front office for making the trade to acquire him.Big Amoco Sign wrote:Tyler O'Neill is already amazing and should stay that way.

I hope O'Neill stays good because I like when the Cardinals win. If he plays poorly I hope they don't play him.

i'm glad that gonzales is having success for the M's...never would have gotten the opportunity here with the young guys pushing him out of the way.
if o'neill turns out to be even "pretty good", then it's prob a win-win trade for both sides.

I have already. I thought Marco had no place on this team.dmarx114 wrote: I am glad you are excited about him. Maybe you'll tip the cap to the front office for making the trade to acquire him.
You do realize Mo has made good trades/acquisitions and godawful trades/acquisitions too. He's not a great GM/Prez or bad one. Middle of the road. Like the team he's built.

Re: The Tyler O'Neill Thread
Dude has Bader-esque speed, cannon for an arm, great ISO, and had a decent walk rate in the minors.
Needs more starts.
