Not sure if it was this date in history but Monday night on ESPN Classic I picked up Game 6 of 1985 WS in the bottom of the ninth. Just missed the call. Called my 13 year old son into the room and told him this was one of the most painful Cardinal moments in history. We watched the rest and no sooner than they are showing Worrell walking off the field they go into Game 7. Flipped it off at that point.

We’ve gotten away from the “today” part of this thread, so I changed it rather than start a new one (since there’s a lot of cool stuff in here that would be lost to the dustbin of old GRB threads).

I love this video from when the Cards shared Al Lang Field in St. Pete with the Yanks. Features ABs by both Musial and Mantle. Even a Redbirds TOOTBLAN!
