we called up donovan and he's at 1b today. which made me think of the singer, which made me think of "mellow yellow" which made me read it's wiki entry which reminded me gap did this commercial (which, now as an adult, this is pretentious but i suppose effective) but gosh darn, if that isn't rashida jones at the very end for a split second

When I was a TV Production major in college, I had an instructor for a film editing class who was also production manager of the NBC affiliate.

He had previously worked at an ad House and used to show us CLEO reels from the late 70s and early 80s. (Which was when I attended)

One of his major points had to do with ads that were creative but didn't do much to sell the product. Also, he talked about ads that might have been offensive but still kept the product/brand in the viewers mind.

One of his favorite creatives was Joe Sedelmaier.
