The movies aren't comedies, but they are funny. They aren't meant to be great dramas, but they typically carry a decent plot. I typically don't care about action scenes and special effects, but some of the scenes are just really well shot (for instance the valkyrie flashback in Ragnarok).
Taken individually, the pieces (comedy+drama+action) aren't great. The sum of the parts is really enjoyable, and for some reason for me very re-watchable.
