That's fine. Bend over, and get ya a good long look at the catcher's nail polish. BUT WHAT'S WITH RIGHT ARM? It's a little more than a dangle..
That's what she said.. I miss sig's.

Kimbrel has of course not sucked to this point in his career. The concern is what he is going to do going forward. There are enough yellow flags in his resume to make one worried going forward, but then again if he keeps his walk rate in check and K rate up, he’ll be great.
It is a decent deal for the Cubs. How much does it actually improve then? I’m a bigger believer than most here in the value of a “closer”, but even outside of that you are looking at the difference of what Kimbrel can provide for 40-ish innings this year vs. the Cubs’ worst RH reliever. Maybe 8-10 higher leverage runs on the high end?

If the 2nd half of last year is any indication of how he will perform going forward, this statement is accurate.Cardsforlife wrote:He sucks
He's had a tremendous career, but it's very possible he's a bad player going forward.

Mariano Rivera is, undoubtedly, a HOF closer. Cardinals should sign him.

This is the kind of thing that the Cubs do. They have done it consistently and have reaped the rewards and paid the price for doing so.
Cards will probably leave Keuchel alone and run Ponce or Woodford out in Wacha's spot and pretend like AW isn't a disaster waiting to happen every time he starts. (Even at his best, he's a time bomb). They have done it consistently and have reaped the rewards and paid the price for doing so.

At least they didn't trade for a wife beater this time.
