Murdering someone is not an eye for an eye measure. The guy tried to murder Big Papi. Big Papi did not "have it coming" or whatever macho nonsense one might want to apply.
Come on - a guy screws another man's wife and a criminal man at that? Sorry that is DUMB as well as wrong. I'll stand up and say it.
Morpheus voice: what if I told you people just want to [expletive] on Big Papi because his team beat the Cardinals
You know, you are right - drug trafficers are well known to be fair men who never seek retribution.
What if I told you I couldn't care less if Big Papi's team beat the cards, I love Big Papi, he was a really fun player to watch. Glad he is recovering.

You seem to have cause and effect backwards.
The woman can [expletive] who she wants.
Clearly her husband thinks otherwise.
She can absolutely [expletive] who she wants to.
Her husband was the one who had a problem with it and attempted to kill Ortiz - allegedly.
Ortiz can [expletive] who he wants to as well. He was rumored to have picked a person with a jealous husband apparently, and that husband allegedly tried to have him killed. Actions have consequences - weather they are deserved or not.
