Re: The Juiced Ball Committee
Too many dingers IMO. I like to see the ball in play more often. The shifts (not so much the shifts themselves but the workarounds from hitters) and the juiced balls and the launch angles and the strikeouts... I'm ready for the next era of baseball.

bunts and ground balls are a lot of fun I miss them so much
(joke)
I think a standard ball from little league to college to MLB should be used.
GMs are shaping/influencing baseball more than anyone. And their cheapness. Market deficiencies rule the game.

Pitchers getting Ks is an exciting element of the game. I'd argue more than balls-batted-into-play outs.lukethedrifter wrote:Swings and misses are so much fun.

Don't worry, GMs are going to collectively counter soon enough. Already seeing it with the Astros. Contact rate is second best in baseball. K rate is way down compared to rest of baseball.

It's a two man game. Strikeouts are cool, but less cool when guys are only interested in getting on the fourth base and swinging accordingly.Big Amoco Sign wrote:Pitchers getting Ks is an exciting element of the game. Maybe people love it. That's cool. I certainly don't like it as much.

Re: The Juiced Ball Committee
I think everyone would like to see a balanced game; where big strikeouts with runners on are huge; but also when batters know that in certain situations it is time to stop swinging for the fences and just put the ball in play. It's too extreme right now.
