This is just to get a game-day thread started because of CardsofSTL's weekend schedule. Carry on.

Can they try that 'win' thingy again? It was kind of fun yesterday.

The St. Louis Cardinals are 32-23 at home this season and are solid favorites to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates who are 24-35 on the road this season. The Cardinals have a better than 55% chance of winning based on 10,000 game simulations generated one play at a time by the AccuScore Simulation Supercomputer. Cardinals\' starter Adam Wainwright is forecasted to have a better game than Pirates\' starter Joe Musgrove. Adam Wainwright has a 37% chance of having a Quality Start (QS) while Joe Musgrove has a 25% chance of a QS. If Adam Wainwright has a quality start the Cardinals has a 78% chance of winning. His simulated strikeout to walk ratio is 3.1 and he has a 28% chance of having a 5 to 1 K/BB ratio. When he has a 5/1 ratio the Cardinals win 66%. In Joe Musgrove quality starts the Pirates win 59%. He has a 38% chance of having a 5 to 1 K/BB ratio and if he does his team wins 59% of simulations. In simulations we tracked the batter for each team that was most productive based his average hits, walks and RBI per simulation. The most productive batter for the St. Louis Cardinals is Paul Goldschmidt who averaged 2.5 hits+walks+RBI. He has a 44% chance of having a big game with 3+ Hits, Walks, RBI and if he has a big game the Cardinals have a 70% chance of winning. The most productive batter for the Pittsburgh Pirates is Josh Bell who averaged 2.37 hits+walks+RBI. He has a 40% chance of having a big game with 3+ Hits, Walks, RBI and if he has a big game the Pirates have a 54% chance of winning.

Corey Dickerson has his third homer in 22 at-bats with the Phillies and Tommy Edman is playing right field for the Cardinals.

The Edman think has reached so far beyond the point of absurdity that now it is all the way back to being normal.

Arozarena hasn't paid his dues or something. In 4 years we'll trade him to the Rays for a bag of peanuts.

It's just clear he's not getting called up until September, and probably not even then or they would have done it a month ago. Shildt wants the switch hitter/lefty in the lineup, even if he's terrible.
