Yeah it's a whole 3.5 lines of text, don't exhaust yourself.

Inevitable given Joker's success, imo.

I’m fine with it. Like Nolan did with Batman, philips did this right.

What I find interesting is how they would handle a Batman confrontation. It's inevitable though not necessarily with Joker 2. But, it's inevitable if they continue down this path long enough that Joker and Batman square off. I have no problem feeling empathetic towards a guy like Arthur Fleck, but I'm really not interested in seeing the background of a Batman battle from the perspective of the Joker unless they somehow make the Joker empathetic as well, a feat that would be tough to do given what Joker ultimately has to come to embody. And, really, I don't see how that could ever happen. Surely they know this as well. People aren't going to enjoy a movie where they're rooting against the 'hero'. Like in Breaking Bad, even when people thought Walter was a [expletive] head, they still rooted for him to turn back to being, well, not a [expletive] head, an accomplishment he almost pulled off at first and then at least managed to mitigate some of that [expletive] headedness at the end.

I’m prolly gonna be wrong but I really don’t see them going down the path of a joker vs Batman comic book movie.

I could see them focusing more on his time at Arkham (he was locked up there for a bit right?). And then pivoting to his rise as a criminal mastermind.

Maybe there’s some sort of square off with Batman but I could really see that as being a minor plot point

I think Go Birds is right.

They have to wait for Bruce Wayne to grow up before they can have a confrontation. That is a lot room for sequels.
