I wouldnt put much stock on today's performance since this is his first ST game.

I have to agree, he's not what he once was. He reminds me of a regressing Mark Mulder like we saw last year.

I want him! Show me a pitcher (I'm sure they're out there but I think they're rare) that didn't have at least one "off" year.

In my opinion, Buehrle is one of the most over rated pitchers in the league. For the amount of praise that this guy seems to get, his numbers don't really support it. His career record is 97-66 with a 3.83 ERA. Medicore at best...

(As a very random side fact, Matt Morris has better career stats than this at 111-77 with a 3.79 ERA)

Not saying I want the guy unless this year sees him turn it around from last year's performance... but Morris is 111-77 in 3 more years of ML service.

Trust me when I say I'm no longer going ga-ga over Buehrle either from what I've seen of him over the past year and change, but 3.83 isn't that bad; I wouldn't consider that mediocre(4.00 ERA and above I might), but under 4.00 for his career isn't too bad at all.
