The Beer Thread

Post by thrill »

ITT we will discuss the blessed drink, make recommendations and commiserate with those who think every beer worth drinking is brewed in St. Louis and Milwaukee.

Here, I'll start. Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron. OH SO DELICIOUS. One of the best beers I've ever had. Try some asap. As a bonus, it's 12% alcohol and you know what that means: Two beers worth of alcohol for the price of one! Seriously, I can't overstate how tasty this brew is.

Left Hand Milk Stout. This is the second best beer I've had lately. Very, very delicious. A pretty drinkable stout, even for amateurs. Some creamy chocolate and coffee flavors.

A nice English Pub Ale of the smooth-creamy variety.

Kwak and Leffe Blonde Ale are my two go-to beers.

Man a beer sounds good about now.

Alas, Dogfish Head beers are not distributed in MO- or at least last I checked with Randall's Wine and Spirits.

Anyone tried the Ray Hill Pilsner (I think that's the name) that AB is distributing?

Dogfish produces some quality stuff... I'm not a big fan of the Raison D'etre but many others find it to be reward-winning...

I just finished up my 6 pack of this last night:

I doubt I'll see any again until next winter... so sad to see the beloved seasonals go.

The hunt for this beauty begins today, actually:

Left Hand Brewery is local and very good. Lots of good beer out here.

But lately this California brew has been in my frig a lot. I don't know why, but I've developed a taste for strongly hopped brews lately.

Boulder Beer also makes a nice IPA, but I like Stone's better.

I've only had the Milk Stout and the Oktoberfest, but they were both superb with the stout a notch above the Oktoberfest.

I've had three pints of this tonight so far, although i doubt I get anymore because the people I'm meeting up with don't go to places that serve stuff like this. }:>(
