If I click the 'view your posts' link and type something into the search box it just returns threads. I don't think that's the way it used to be, but I could just be making stuff up since I'm extraordinarily hungover.

Is this in advance search? If so check the "Display results as:" radio button.

I do this all the time. It's weird, but it does it differently depending on where you click from.
