I worked with a guy that cut his finger off in an accident. The docs were going to reattach it but he would have had to quit smoking so he said no thanks.

Of course she's already "hamming it up". She hurt every bone in her body according to her. The pinkie didn't even "break" in the traditional sense. After she realized she had enough "camera time" she skied right on down the course.
A smiling Vonn later said that she injured her chin, right knee, back and right hand in the crash. According to a team doctor, Vonn has a nondisplaced fracture of the proximal phalanx of the right pinkie.
