I can see both sides of the argument:

Want to play Duke for the RPI, and for the TV game. If it wasn't on national television though, I'd rather play a decent BCS team with a name than Duke, at Duke, in a guaranteed game. (More referring to Bradley there)

There is virtually no chance of a win there...

The only way this is bad for BU or SLU is if the Braves or Billikens go down there and mail it in. Getting torched by 40 or more is bad no matter how you cut it. Both programs are good enough to hang within 20 even on Duke's best day.

I expect Bradley and Saint Louis be be NCAA bound in March. Kudos to Majerus and Les for willingly testing their teams against someone very likely in the top 5. A lot of coaches in BU/SLU's spot wouldn't have the guts to schedule Duke.

Bradley is the 3rd or 4th best team in the MVC this year, so if they're a tourney team, it will be a great year in the Valley. I agree that SLU is a tourney team most likely.

Athletically, Bradley takes a back seat to no one in the MVC. They do have a couple guys who tended to be a bit short on common sense at times last year and they're a bit thin in the post. No finish between first and 4th would surprise me. The better the maturity level is for Taylor Brown in particular, the better BU does.

I can behind that. Though, I do think Wichita is head and shoulders above on paper. 2-5 will be made up of some combo of MSU, Bradley, Creighton, UNI.

The late, great Al McGuire would have termed last years Shockers an all airport team. Very impressive looking when they walked in. Sometimes they played up to that level, sometimes not.

Wouldn't surprise me if a couple MVC teams are in those NCAA games involving the last four in.

As far as which ones, ask me in mid February...

The only downside is the nightmare scenario; that SLU has one of those horrid games Majerus teams have been capable of and Duke beats them 47-20.

Yup...20 of those points come from Mitchell...and Cassity goes 0-20 from the 3pt line (like every other game).

This is going to be real tough without their two best players in Kwamain Mitchell and Willie Reed.
