This sucks. I know the enforcement is necessary for conditioning but the product will suffer. Got to be a compromise here.
Batter/pitcher violations of the clock leading to Ks is more boring than extra time waiting around. Will Fangraphs have something like "PCV K%" where it's pitch clock violation K percentage? Like they do for whiff? Would hate to know a guy got a bunch of his Ks because of a lazy batter and vice versa.

I don’t know. Seems fine to me. Can’t see stats being significantly affected over a season.

Got to do something about the foul ball restart of the clock and Pitchcom bugs. That [expletive] is so dumb if it leads to a pitch-clock strike.ghostrunner wrote: ↑March 15 23, 12:23 pmI don’t know. Seems fine to me. Can’t see stats being significantly affected over a season.
"Just throw down hands the old fashion way" is fine but the whole point is to get off that to stop sign stealing. It's like the league wants it both ways some of the time. It can't be that way.

Not clearly defined in the rules.
Umps shouldn’t get more judgement calls.
Also this stuff is tanking the product.

This stuff is fantastic.
I've waited decades to see these guys get rung up for wasting time.

The rules show. The umps are doing what Manfred wants. And all the reviews and articles I've read are almost all positive about the rules changes.
I don't think its perfect. They'll make adjustments. Both players and rules makers. In fact, that's one of the reasons they need the umps to be strict calling these now. So they can see what needs tweeking.
Be patient. They'll make it better. It's already tons better than what we accepted these last several years. I couldn't watch Gallegos. It was painful.
