A clear hit. The third baseman never got to the ball.
Is this a way of saying you're a proud papa?

Trevor looks like he's gotten bigger as the season's progressed.

Re: You make the call
It was ruled an error by the home team scorer in an attempt to preserve a no hitter. It was only the 3rd inning (we finally did get a couple more hits in the 6th inning) but it goes to show the kind of scoring shennanigans that go on in high school baseball when it comes to stats. The home team had their number 1 horse on the mound and he was a senior on senior night so I guess the plan was to get him a no hitter.

If that isn't a hit, then I made a [expletive] load of errors at 3B.

Do you have the arm to play further than 60 feet from the hitter? Then you might have had a chance at that ball.PujolJunkie wrote:If that isn't a hit, then I made a [expletive] load of errors at 3B.

someone should have smacked the official scorer in the back of the head with a 2by4

Re: You make the call
I have an official scorer's question:
The bases are loaded. A passed ball or wild pitch scores the runner from 3rd, while all other runners move up 1 base. The batter eventually walks to re-load the bases.
Does the batter, because he ended up walking, get an RBI for the runner who scored on the passed ball or wild pitch?

No RBI. After the PB/WP, it is a new base state and the walk no longer forces in a run. Same logic as if the batter hits a 3-run homer, they don't get 4 RBI just because someone else was on base when the at bat started.

Did you not think of starting a new thread rather than bumping one that that's 13 years old?

Re: You make the call
It's a hit unless you're an official scorer that is desperate for attention.
Edit: Read the comments, the preservation of the fake no hitter makes sense. The scorer should be informed that lying for your own homer kid who didn't earn something (in the 3rd inning no less) not only hurts the kid from your school but hurts another kid from another school. And that they're a stupid piece of [expletive].
