I wasn't familiar with Herron and his career but its sad to lose someone so young.

The Wacha signing certainly makes sense for the Red Sox. To be honest, I was surprised they didn't try to acquire pitching at the trade deadline, then I was surprised again when they made as far as they did in the playoffs. I thought their lack of pitching would sink them earlier.
