Albert Pujols has joined Leones del Escogido of the Dominican Winter League.

It'll be the first-ever taste of the Dominican Winter League for Pujols, a native of Santo Domingo. He's expected to make his Escogido debut at some point next week. The 41-year-old future Hall of Fame slugger is set to become a major league free agent after the World Series and has stated a desire to continue playing in 2022.

Dodgers won't be picking up Joe Kelly's option.

The Wacha signing certainly makes sense for the Red Sox. To be honest, I was surprised they didn't try to acquire pitching at the trade deadline, then I was surprised again when they made as far as they did in the playoffs. I thought their lack of pitching would sink them earlier.
