Michael Wacha yielded two runs in three innings of relief Thursday against the Royals.
Wacha threw two innings four days ago in his return from the injured list. It took him just 25 pitches to get through three innings today, so he still might be a candidate to make a spot start on Sunday. He might bounce back and forth between the pen and the rotation for the long haul.

‘Very frustrated’ Luke Voit may be out a bit for Yankees...
Luke Voit missed the first 34 games of the season after left knee surgery during spring training, and now the Yankees first baseman is headed back to the injured list after an MRI exam revealed he has a Grade 2 right oblique strain.

The Cubs have placed Matt Duffy on the IL retroactive to May 23 with a lower back strain and have promoted Patrick Wisdom from Triple-A Iowa. He had a .913 OPS with a double, three home runs, 11 RBI, and six walks in eight games for the I-Cubs after going 0-for-14 in his first four games.
