Arizona Diamondbacks coach Dave McKay breaks rib, cuts spleen in dugout fall
https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/310 ... ugout-fall
Went to spring training in 2010 with my dad. We got seated directly next to Dave McKay and his wife at dinner one night. We had our cards gear on so he chatted us up. Nicest guy in the world. It was the highlight of our trip.

I hope he's ok!!!
A friend and I were walking back to our car outside of Busch II one night after going to a game and McKay was leaving the stadium at the time. We commented on his WS ring and he actually handed us the ring and turned his back to sign other autographs while we held it. We were in too much shock to do anything other than gawk at it until he took it back out of my hand. I'm still in shock to this day. It is the only time I've seen a WS ring in person, much less held one.

Nabil Crismatt decided giving up runs this spring is for suckers and made the Padres opening day roster.

Donovan Solano is not just on the Giants opening day roster, he's starting and batting 3rd. To be fair, after his human sacrifice in spring of 2019, he's hit .328 .362 .459 .821

Athletics manager Bob Melvin acknowledged Wednesday that Trevor Rosenthal (shoulder) may need surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome.

Rosenthal was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome while being examined by specialist Dr. Gregory Pearl on Tuesday in Dallas and is currently weighing his options. He is expected to make a decision within the next couple of days. Either way, he figures to be sidelined for the entire first half of the 2021 season. Jake Diekman looks to be the frontrunner for saves right now in the Oakland bullpen.

Not quite the same thing as "Trevor Rosenthal's on the table for surgery."

Trevor Rosenthal underwent thoracic outlet surgery on Thursday.

Rosenthal will remain in Dallas until Sunday where he underwent the procedure, and will return for a check up in approximately eight weeks. The right-hander was recently transferred to the 60-day injured list because of the shoulder injury. He'll be out at least for the next few months, and there's at least a chance -- maybe a good one -- that his 2021 season is over before it starts.

I feel for Rosenthal...always liked him. Had some bad luck with some of the injuries.
