Wisdom has been up for 7 games with the Cubs. He's hitting .467 with 3 homers.

wisdom up, miller down and out
Cubs released RHP Shelby Miller.
Miller cleared waivers after being designated for assignment last week. The 30-year-old was rocked for seven runs in two innings of work with the Cubs this season and holds an eye-popping 7.15 ERA in 185 innings dating back to 2016. He's now on the free agent market.

I was going to say those are Craig Kimbrell numbers, but apparently he's not a well-paid laughingstock anymore. What fun is that? Check his cap for molasses, rubber cement and flubber.

Austin Gomber pitched six scoreless innings and struck out six Thursday in the Rockies' 11-6 win over the Rangers.
Another nice Coors Field start for Gomber. Pitching in Colorado hasn't been a problem for Gomber this year, and his early control problems didn't carry over into May. He'd rate as a quality mixed-league guy right now if he pitched for any other team in the league. Since he's a Rockie, he's still not a recommended pickup.

Brewers placed INF Kolten Wong on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain.
Wong suffered the injury during Thursday's victory over the Diamondbacks. Given that it's the second time he has landed on the injured list with the same issue, expect the club to take extra caution before bringing him back. Pablo Reyes was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move to provide depth on the bench for the Brewers.
