What a joke! Ump just wanting to make sure his name was mentioned by the broadcast crew. Just insane.

Another joke. Just get the computerized strike zone. The idiot stands there and the computer tells them if it's a ball or strike. If they deviate from what the computer told them to call, fine and suspension with no pay. 2nd time, indefinite suspension. No excuses. This crap has to end. These SOBs are a joke.

In the past couple of weeks I've called MLB and found the umps union phone number on the internet and complained about how bad the umpires are. The person that answered the phone connected to the umps union gave me a bunch of crap that they have nothing to do with the "questionable" calls and I have to call MLB. I told the guy on the phone, "You are their union and you back them". According to them, not their fault, call MLB and complain.

I know you don't want to hear this but the sportsmanship rules are more strict in HS and college. Got no idea if there were issues in this game either. Context matters.

The video must not have shown the Indiana Jones style boulder rolling towards home plate. That's about the only reasonable explanation.

Then it needs to die, IMO. But I don't think that's the case anyway.

So tired of the buttoned up boomer era baseball rules. Let the kids play and have fun. Bat flip and admire all you want. If it's off the wall and you didn't run out of the box, that's on you.
