Re: Random Baseball Musings
@Joe Shlabotnik - Is the baserunner allowed to intentionally interfere with a throw? That clip doesn't show the result of the play, so I can't see how the ump ruled that.

No, they aren't allowed to interfere with the throw. But that kind of interference is only going to be called when a runner goes out of their way to hinder the throw. That throw would have hit him anyway. So its treated just like a throw that hits the runner in their back.

This is....weird. Braves trading their number 1 prospect for a draft pick at 35?

I know there have been questions about Waters development and injuries, but that still seems like a very good trade for Kansas City.

Only thing I can think of is they are really alarmed by Waters strike out numbers and lack of progress as a hitter and see Hoffman as a relief pitcher with not a crazy upside, and this allows them to aim higher and be more creative with their draft.MrCrowesGarden wrote: ↑July 11 22, 9:12 amI know there have been questions about Waters development and injuries, but that still seems like a very good trade for Kansas City.
I do like the concept of draft picks being traded

Re: Random Baseball Musings
I do too. I'd trade mine so fast since you get 20 just for existing
