Sosa over the last two weeks is .200/.250/.267. Edman in RF is already a defensive hit (he has been pretty awful). You are basically weighing Marp's offensive advantage over Sosa's defensive advantage at 2B. Small sample size, but Marp hasn't been bad at 2B this year. Sosa of course has been really good at SS (only 2.2 innings at 2B thus far).cardsfantx wrote: ↑June 11 21, 8:55 amI’ll take Sosa at 2b and edman in RF.
Leave carp as a bench bat.

Marp has been terrible at 2B. Part of the reason he's mustered barely any WAR even given offensive surge lately.Popeye_Card wrote: ↑June 11 21, 9:58 amSosa over the last two weeks is .200/.250/.267. I thought we still preferred UZR/150, where Marp is at -1.5 at 2B thus far. 0.0 contribution to his fWAR.
His piddly WAR total is currently driven by limited playing time, and an awful April.

There’s no use in breaking it down. This contract was pitiful and Marp matches that to a T. He is a useless option which, personally, I’d release. This team has too much dead weight starting with him.
It’s just amazing how this team is being ran right now. No accountability, and DeWitt just wants more of it.

Edman needs to be left at second base before we get him hurt playing in right. We cannot afford to lose him. Marp needs to be designated to forced retirement.
