i dont get too uptight with bwar vs fwar but i'd much rather have wong at 2b i can tell you that. edman would be a great super sub but as a starter he is exposed.
I think Tommy has been very good as an every day starter. I don't agree that he has been "exposed".
I'm curious to see how you would justify that. By basically every metric -- classic or sabermetric or statcast -- he's not been good, let alone "very good". Batting average, slug%, on base%, wOBA, OPS, OPS+, runs, rbi, exit velocity, hard contact rate, barrel%... none of those things are good. Even his stolen base #'s aren't very good.

His defense is pretty good, I will give you that one.

Goal posts have moved. Now we only count NL. .

He’s around 23rd in baseball in 2B WAR. No idea what WAR you’re looking at and what you’re filtering. You including his RF numbers too or…? He has 1.2 WAR at 2B. .1 at RF. I am using Fangraphs.

Edman The Accumulator only has his WAR count from a high amount PAs to boot.

Tom
Is Tommy Edman a starter long-term? At 2B or somewhere else?

Ben Clemens
I think he's a totally fine person to have as your 6th-best player or so
If he's your second baseman, that can't be the highlight of your team
But if you're pretty good at other spots and want a solid player to fill in at second, absolutely
Of note, Statcast is WAY higher on his defense than UZr, and I tend to believe it
He looks legit out there. Perhaps not Kolten Wong legit, but legit
Now, when they put him in right field? It's terrible, and it needs to stop
