MLB began employing security guards at team hotels to make sure no one violated safety and health protocols. They got their money’s worth in Chicago with Cleveland starters Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac both getting caught leaving the hotel. They are both being quarantined.
I was told only Cardinals and Marlins players do things like that.

MLB is having preliminary discussions about holding playoffs in a bubble.

Uh, nvm.

I don't like to say this but if they were to do a bubble scenario for the postseason Chicago area makes the most sense since you have the Cubs and White Sox stadiums and you its not that long of a drive to Milwaukee.

Counterpoint: Chicago is a cold, barren wasteland where all hope of life is extinguished in a thick layer of frost.

I would think they would use some spring training facilities, since it isn’t like you need fan capacity or amenities, and they would likely have a better setup for housing multiple teams in a “bubble” environment.

In a recent MLBTR chat, someone suggested the new Rangers stadium and their old one. Typically favorable fall weather, with a roofed stadium for all games if unfavorable weather occurs.

And this season just got a little bit worse:
Willie McGee Opts Out Of Season

Cardinals coach Willie McGee will not return to the bench when the team resumes play, Rick Hummel of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. He has opted out of the remainder of the campaign.

McGee has not tested positive, per the report. He says he’s particularly concerned with contracting the disease since he has high blood pressure.
