David Freese: Cardinals Hall of Famer?
I’ve seen people online say David Freese will definitely be in the Cardinals Hall of Fame. I think that might be true, sadly. Freese obviously couldn’t touch any of the other Hall of Famers’ stats, but his postseason heroics should apparently be enough to get him a red jacket. I think Freese would be embarrassed to be next to players who were actual Cardinals greats. I’m not trying to take anything away from him; his postseason performances were spectacular, but a Cardinals Hall of Fame induction would greatly disappoint me and show that fans consider some clutch moments in the postseason on par with solid or even great all-around careers.

I'm going to say yes because we're talking about a team HOF and not the Baseball HOF. I think there is a place for him in the Cardinal HOF based on the post season heroics.

He would be basically just going into the Cardinals HOF based upon a single postseason since he was just average the rest of his time with the Cardinals. But I'm totally fine with it since his October 2011 is such a great performance that I can definitely be fine with getting a Red Jacket. He saved the Cardinals from the brink of defeat in that WS twice in back to back at bats. The Cardinals would still only have 10 WS wins if it wasn't for his triple and HR.
