Whenever possible, we should create new topics. Especially for the more significant stuff that would get buried in a megathread.

Re: MLB Off-season Happenings
The Pittsburgh Pirates made a splash in the international market with the signing of Po-Yu Chen, a 19-year-old right-handed pitcher from Tawain’s world champion under-18 national team.
The 6-foot-2, 187-pound Chen is a former two-way player who is now focusing on pitching and has a low-90s fastball, slider and curveball in his repertoire. He pitched the final two innings for a save in the gold-medal game against the U.S. in the 2019 world championships. His father, Ping-Nan Chen, played in the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

Right-handers Dinelson Lamet and Mike Clevinger have been evaluated thoroughly by doctors over the past week, general manager A.J. Preller said, with the consensus being that neither will require surgery. Both are expected to be at full capacity by Spring Training.

Re: MLB Off-season Happenings
Corey Kluber's option will be declined.
There might end up being a lot of free agents out there. If a team were to hit on the right buy-low candidate(s), it could transform a team for a season. Too bad the Cards don't have any "dry powder" lying around...
