I was a huge A's honk in the late 80's-early 90's. TLR leaving broke my young brain. But I still had Big Mac to root for, until TLR wizarded him across the country. Interesting that Tatis did this having had a dad in the bigs. I can see this for those coming from nothing. Now it looks like as much as nearly 8%-10% is going to go to this firm.

Padres got a great deal, and Tatis is set for life, plus mitigates risk of injury. I agree though, I’m surprised he went for this instead of, say, a 6 year deal with higher AAV.
