Huh, so teams can afford gigantic contracts in the middle of a pandemic.
I do like that the Padres aren't concerned about nickel and diming their face of the franchise and potentially alienating him along the way.

That's wild. Bonilla the also the reason I became a Cardinals fan, funny enough. I grew up in NY, never had a favorite team, just a favorite player who happened to be Bonilla. I followed him to the Cardinals, and once he retired, I became a fan of the team he last played for.
