Re: 2021 MLB Transactions
Braves acquired INF Orlando Arcia from the Brewers for RHPs Chad Sobotka and Patrick Weigel.
Arcia was a top prospect for the Brewers, but he never quite lived up to his potential with the club, slashing a modest .244/.293/.364 over 542 major league games. With Luis Urías taking the shortstop role, it made sense for Milwaukee to turn the page. Of course, the Braves have Dansby Swanson at shortstop, so the 26-year-old Arcia is strictly infield depth for his new club. Per David O'Brien of the Athletic, Arcia isn't expected to be ready to join the Braves for a few days as he goes through COVID-19 protocols.

Brewers acquired RHP Patrick Weigel from the Braves in the Orlando Arcia trade.
Weigel ranked No. 12 on the Braves' top-30 prospect list from MLB Pipeline, so the Brewers have to be satisfied here. The 26-year-old was a seventh-round pick of the Braves in 2015 and put up a quality 2.73 ERA and 71/41 K/BB ratio over 79 innings between Double- and Triple-A in 2019. He should be ready to contribute in the majors before long.

Seattle is where players go to die. I always liked Dee Gordon.
