Deadened ball means a lot of snoozer games like this
Maybe, but a double off the wall with runners on base is pretty exciting too. Less K's, more balls in play, stolen bases, I'd take that.

Every time I see "Reyes, Al" in the MLB box score, I do a double take. Are they trying to differentiate him from another Reyes? All the while making me think of 04-05 Al Reyes?

Some analysis and early statcast data insights from our own @JL21 :

The interesting takeway, so far, is that Arenado is hitting the ball extra hard:
[Arenado's] average exit velocity (EV) entering yesterday’s game was 91.6, better than at any other point in his career. That number will rise between now and when you read it thanks to a 96.4 mph grounder and the 95.7 mph dinger on Thursday. His 110.6 mph double off of Jeff Hoffman in Cincinnati was his hardest hit ball since 2016, and max EV like that becomes meaningful quickly. His barrel percentage- 10.5% through Wednesday- is the highest of his career.

I’m pretty sure the only way to piss off Rockies fans is to disparage the Broncos.
