Cringing thinking that we may be going even two rotation rounds with Oviedo again.
An automatic loss.
Gant, Kim, CMart were all relievers within the past few years too. Not season long starters.
Mo rolling the dice really hard this year on the rotation.

I can't hear the word "oblique" and not think of Woody Williams.CardsofSTL wrote: ↑June 1 21, 8:04 pmOblique strains takes me back. Who kept having that issue? Woody Williams?
Yeah let's switch to the DH already. And I never thought I would say that.
Vivid memories of him taking big cuts while Hrabosky talked about how he was a shortstop in college.

It was clear that Mo was counting on getting a healthy Mikolas back and not only did that blow up, but we’ve had to deal with injuries to almost everyone in the rotation as well. We really need another starter because Oviedo isn’t anything resembling someone who is ready for the majors.Big Amoco Sign wrote: ↑June 2 21, 8:01 amCringing thinking that we may be going even two rotation rounds with Oviedo again.

Shame on Mo for not having 10 reliable starters. When will this guy ever learn?

Depending on Mikolas was a mistake.
Kim is a question mark.
Can Carlos last 170 innings and be effective?
Ponce and Oviedo are not viable options. They need a starter.

Silly to think Mo deserves no criticism for not having a single contingency plan and relying on broken, unproven long term guys, or a stable of converted relievers. Oh and a 39 year old vet that doesn't have much without whatever he's using to raise spin rate.
Glad we will now have to trade some pretty decent farm depth just to get a 2021 band aid starter.
