Would take literally any replacement level Memphis scrub over Miller. Please no Shelled-by Meatball. 93 mph meatballs down the middle shelled for homers is what you get with him. And walks.
Please kill this idea with fire.

Is he better than Oviedo? If the answer is yes, we’ll take him.
He would have to be pretty bad to be worse.

Absolutely no reason why we've not hired at least one of the unsigned guys and stuck them in Memphis to get up to game speed - unless they don't really want to play any more and are asking for ludicrous money.

Re: Shelby Miller?
A guy like Hamels may just be fine being retired unless a team knocks his socks off. Porcello is 32, and if he sits out an entire season plus the looming CBA strike/lock-out, his playing days are likely over. He may not be great, but he has to at least be worth a shot. At least he doesn’t walk everyone - he could be pretty good with Busch park effects and our defense.Famous Mortimer wrote: ↑June 10 21, 12:44 pmAbsolutely no reason why we've not hired at least one of the unsigned guys and stuck them in Memphis to get up to game speed - unless they don't really want to play any more and are asking for ludicrous money.
