Off to a good start towards that 15-5, but I think the Braves are going to be the toughest series of this 20 game stint. Even if they are 30-35, I feel like they’ve been underperforming so far and we have tended to be the slumpbreaker.

This seems like pessimism.

22nd in batting
21st in pitching
19th in fielding

Going to be a uphill battle.

Looking back, I don’t know how we managed to win a WS with that 2006 team. The Tigers really gave that one away.

I was extremely worried if the Cards lost game 5 that they'd blow a 3-1 lead. Kenny Rogers was set to start game 6 (who had a foreign substance controversy in game 2, ironically). I don't know why Leland didn't use Rogers in game 5. I understand somehow the Tigers had to win a couple games not started by Rogers but that was do or die. If the Tigers had managed to bring it back home, who knows what would have happened.

Realism is more like it.

So now we can only lose 2 more games in our next 13 for this team to be worth investing in.
