Would it be wrong to start a magic number count down thread to how many wins it'll take for the Cardinals to have a winning record this year?

They could pave ballpark village and put up a parking lot.
Joni Mitchell could sing a song about that.

Just put a giant rubber on Ballpark Village, douse it in lube, and call it a day.

brad penny for your thoughts
do you think Stl is "talking about the fences" 'cause it might make nolan happier to stay?

Ben Clemens
No. Zero chance of him opting out, he'd be talking about a sizeable pay cut to do so and all he does is talk about how much he loves St. Louis

Counterpoint: move the fences 75 feet further out and build the team around super speedy doubles hitters. Talk about more action on the base paths. Inside the park home runs are way more fun than regular home runs.
Id take this too
Home runs in some of these ridiculously small ball parks are pop outs
Fenway park for all its majesty is a joke
The green monster eats up balls that would be a home run in any other park
Pop ups go over it and don't even get me started on the Peskey pole

You would also need speedy outfielders to be able to cover that much more open space. I would guess that T'ON, Bader and Carlson could qualify for that. But Bader is the only one thats super fast.
