Maybe an unlikely opportunity in the event of an unlikely play, but someone on Twitter asked what’s to keep a player from just “misplaying” a ball into the stands in that situation in the Rays/Sox game?

Feels like a rule change is needed there. Defender needs to be on the hook for it vs the offense. Make it his job to knock it down or catch it or whatever.
