Andrew Miller might be washed as a pitcher, but he's been a consistent labor king.

The players can be just as disingenuous as the owners. It has nothing to do about putting the best product on the field. If the league proposed a hard cap floor and ceiling the players wouldn’t go for it even though it’s good for parity.

But players and owners will win.
We, the fans, lose as well as minor leaguers.

I'm not sure winning over public sentiment is necessary to the MLBPA strategy. Nice to have, maybe.
At least I'm not seeing much if any straight up blaming of the players. Maybe still a bit too much of the "both sides" but it's bound to happen.

Remember when DeWitt blatantly lied about MLB teams “not being very profitable” a few years back? That was cool.

"Not very profitable" to Dewitt doesn't mean the same thing to me and you that it means to Dewitt.
We talk about Stroman's contract ad if it's "not much money", when in reality it's a crapload of money.
We're not on the same plane as owners and players, and I wish they would stop acting as if we were.
9 dollars for a hot dog is reasonable to people like Wainwright snd Dewitt. It's not to me.

I don’t blame the players for the lockout-the owners are being frugal.MrCrowesGarden wrote: ↑December 3 21, 2:48 pmI'm not sure winning over public sentiment is necessary to the MLBPA strategy. Nice to have, maybe.

I blame them for being tone deaf and ignoring helping their own.

I think they are trying to help their own. You can argue they should do more but I absolutely don’t think they’re content with helping the 0.1% of players.
