His run from 2001-2010, where does Albert Pujols rank among the best players you've personally ever seen?

Top 3? Top 5?

He's top 3 for me. But I'm only 38.

Trout, Ohtani, Pujols, Pedro in no order.

Pujols’s ability to hit for average and power while demonstrating great discipline. Also an awesome fielder. Ohtani’s ability to play two ways and dominate. Trout’s elite well-roundedness in every facet of the game. Pedro dominating in the midst of an era defined by cheaters. Peak Mookie Betts was really special but short lived. athleticism dependent fielders/runners tend to peak early and fast before losing the speed to rack up SBs and have elite range.

I’m not including known roiding cheaters. Bonds, Rodriguez, and Ortiz would get the asterisk.

I've never seen a better player in person.

In my lifetime and accounting for games on TV; he's definitely top 3. One of the most clutch hitters ever during his Cardinals run.

I'd say he's the best overall player I've seen in my time as a baseball fan.

I've been watching baseball since the 70s. Pujols was consistently great to spectacular.

I would also mention Barry Bonds. But, his seemingly enthusiastic indulgence of PEDs tainted the 2nd half of his career.

Bonds at his absolute peak was ridiculous (he had a .1422 OPS in 2004), though that comes with obvious caveats. For a while, it felt like Bonds was a two-outcome hitter, but those outcomes were walk or home run.
