Julio and Hunter were so good that if they weren't called up, the fanbases would riot. Julio's spring was insane.

At some point, teams see more value in using their skills to win games immediately.

There was a case to be made BWJ should’ve been up last year.
Possibly, but on purely developmental terms it would have at least been aggressive. Julio is the easiest call imo(there's dominating a level and then there's hitting .362 w/ discipline and power over a 200 PA sample), but even he skipped AAA entirely. Witt hadn't played full season ball before last year and spent 2 months at AA and 2 months at AAA. Greene had 65 IP in AAA with a 4.13 ERA and a worse FIP. And the early season results haven't exactly proven they were inescapably ready to help win games either, Witt has a wRC+ of 79, Julio's is 85, and Greene has a 6 ERA with FIP to match.

Julio has come alive last ten games. Early struggle was to be expected but I think he will stick now. Kelenic needs to go back down.

I don't think it'll always work out. And many rookies are struggling. The ball is a big reason.
