Liberatore "not untouchable" in trade Per Hummel chat

and neither is Zach Thompson. No reason given. I wonder if the Cards have cooled off on Liberatore, or maybe they were never as high as we thought they were. Let the speculation begin.

Wait - the MuddleMeisters are considering trades? That's the real news here.

If we trade either one of those guys, the deal better also include dumping PDJ and his contract.

Doesn't make sense to trade either one. We need more pitching. That said, I suppose either can be moved in the "right" deal.

Seems like a good candidate to dangle out there since he's still unproven but has the pedigree but we've given up on quite a few guys lately that have panned out beyond our expectations. I don't think I have much of an opinion either way right now other than it's kind of cool to imagine him and Gorman could become stars together. I will say that I hate the idea of giving up on him in an attempt to shore up our middle relief problem.

Isn't Thompson doing OK? I mean isn't he already an OK trade?

Yeah I would only trade them if it moved the needle. Meaning a legit number 1 starter in a package.

They both look like solid mid-back rotation guys, who are useful, so you won't have to go sign the Steven Matz type deals. But if you can get a young stud like Shane Bieber in a blockbuster, i'm for it.

If we can get a front of the staff starting pitcher in the deal then its worth trading Liberatore.

If Shane Bieber is on the table, yes move these guys.
