Cruz seems to be a more complete prospect, but the Cardinals tend to get way more out of their prospects than most teams, especially the Pirates. So on a neutral team, I'd pick Cruz, but based off who they play for, I'd pick Gorman.Big Amoco Sign wrote: ↑June 29 22, 11:04 amThis is a fun one:
Gorman or Cruz, who would you rather have now, and going forward?
Gorman appears to hit for more power and more often. But Cruz has better plate discipline and defense. Both have good upside. Both in the top 20-30 range on most prospect boards.

Re: Oneil Cruz
I watched some Cruz highlights this morning. Now, I really want to see this video. Maybe I'll go to Fiverr or something. One of my favorite plays in baseball is the RF assisting at third. Watching Cruz is kind of like that.BottenFieldofDreams wrote: ↑June 22 22, 3:00 pmJust for shizz and giggles, someone please make a video overlay of Eckstein and Cruz fielding similar plays.

Cruz has a really nice swing. I was impressed with it at Sunday's game

Cruz is so visually appealing. It's almost a shock when you look at his actual production and it's subpar because he does things in a way that looks like something not really possible.
